Stress Management - Things to Remember

Seminars with Dr. Hinz - STRESS MANAGEMENT

Description:
Stress, Stress, STRESS!!! You can’t escape it, you can’t avoid it, and sometimes it’s overwhelming to deal with. Stress is a part of Everyone’s lives; it comes in the form of little slips and falls, work, and day to day activities. Come learn the different kinds of stress, how they affect you and how to overcome them.

I thought with the holidays coming up that this seminar would be appropriate. Holidays can be extremely stressful, and I think Dr. Hinz described me to a "T" with his seminar description above. Why does he always look at me when he talks about little slips and falls? It just happened once while I was in my sock feet running for the telephone.

The different types of stress are Physical (body), Chemical (Anything you put in your mouth) and Emotional (feelings or thoughts).

Stages of stress are Alarm, Resistance, and Exhaustion. I think we all have experiences all of these stages at one time or another.

Actions to take to help with stress:
  • Breathe from your diaphragm (several times)
  • Exercise (Get outside - Burst Train) Burst training is walking, then run and then go back to walking and etc.
  • Laugh (often)
  • Drink more Water (You should drink 1/2 your weight in ounces of water.)
  • Sleep (Best position is on your back.)
  • Organize your Priorities (Create a top 5 list, do a 80/20% list or etc.)
  • Get Adjusted (Yeah right - Dr. Hinz is a chiropractor)
I am on a mission to not stress out during the holidays, get back to eating right, and not kill anyone. So, I am going to try these actions to see if they work. If they don't, Dr. Hinz is in trouble!

Try them for yourself, and keep me updated.
